Professional Experience

Founder. 2020 - Present

Launch of Xintube , an influencer video platform who believes that socially-driven content marketing at scale can improve the lives and provide outstanding ROI for its users, content creators and advertisers.
(Official launch June 2024)

Founder & President, 2007– Present

Key Achievements:

  • Encouraged Teletón (Mexico) to expand operations to the United States. (2007 to 2010)
  • Provided ongoing consultation to Azteca America to improve operations and was hired fulltime as
  • VP of News and Community Outreach within months. (2014 to 2015 and 2017 to 2018)
  • Launch of “La Octava”, the broadcast TV channel owned by Grupo Radio Centro S.A. In charge of
  • engineering, digital platform, programming design and execution, hiring , business plan, etc. (2019)
  • Worked with Mexican Presidential Candidate Xochitl Galvez to help her develop a closer relationship
  • and understanding of Mexicans living in the USA. (2023 – 2024)

Vice President of News and Community Outreach, 2015-2017

Key Achievements:

  • Launched highly successful monthly national segment “Solución Azteca”
  • Formed a partnership with Children Miracle Network and gained funding through a live fundraising event,
  • “Salvé un Angelito...!Te toca!”

Senior Vice President of News, 2012-2014

Launched and executed a brand new News Division for the network within 3 months.
Designed and oversaw all News Division operations, including: division strategy and administration, network content, talent acquisition and development of division personnel, and budget planning and execution.
Quickly expanded news bureaus across 14 cities for 4 hours of live daily newscasts.

Key Achievements:

  • Created a brand new division that achieved the highest ratings for the network.

Vice President of News, KMEX Channel 34, 2006-2007

After proven success as News Director, promoted to Vice President of News to lead the most-watched newscast in the country and successfully transform and improve the operations of the news division.
Designed and implemented a refreshed News philosophy and strategy to create more sensible, respectful, and relevant content for audiences. Managed talent for the News division through organizational changes, hiring, coaching, and training. Formulated and implemented an annual division budget and forecast.

Key Achievements:

  • In over 50 years, won the first and second Peabody Award for Univision.
  • Exponentially increased ratings, resulting in defeating the network’s main competitor.
  • For 5 years kept historic record of “Most watched local newscast in the country regardless of language”,
  • Designed, developed, and launched more than 40 special segments for newscasts.
  • Created “A Su Lado,” a highly distinguished KMEX News initiative.

Managed daily operations of the network’s news division, including: overseeing the division’s budget, hiring and training news division personnel, recommending and executing operations improvements, and designing and deploying special segments for newscasts.
